TIROROA
Boutique annexe guest accommodation in rural Carterton.

We called our guest accommodation Tiroroa, a Maori word for ‘extensive view’. Once you drive down our leafy lane you will understand why as the view unfolds itself to you. Our house stands alone on 3.3 hectares, surrounded by paddocks, rolling hills and the Tararu mountains in the distance. A comfortable 20 minute drive from Martinborough and 15 minutes to Carterton township, we are close to the winieries for which these centres are noted.

Your accommodation is at the end of our home where you have a separate area of decking, a bedroom and sitting area (with microwave, toaster, jug and fridge etc). There is a TV with SKY (basic channels plus Sports), wifi and a stove in case you get a bit chilly in the colder months. Your own bathroom is along the hallway for your exclusive use and there is a washing machine in the utility room you're welcome to use.

We provide a continental breakfast for you which you can have on your decks inclusive of the price but let us know if you want a cooked one and we can offer that for an extra $12 each with our own free range eggs. We can also provide an evening meal at your request for $30 each.

Directions: As Stonehenge Aotearoa is 2 mins drive away from us on Ahiaruhe Road it is easier for you to follow signs for Stonehenge to find us. You need a car to get around but we are happy to pick you up from the train station in Carterton on your arrival and departure (see timetable). There are lots of walks around us or you can bike from our property to nearby villages. Other places to explore are the vineyards around the Wairarapa, Cape Palliser and the famous lighthouse, Lake Ferry where you can enjoy the world famous fish and chips (around 45 mins away), or further afield to Riversdale (about an hour) or Castlepoint.
