Live and Work in the Wairarapa

The Wairarapa has five characterful towns serving as vibrant central hubs across the region for Wairarapa's people to live, work and play.

The Classic New Zealand Wine Trail (State Highway 2) runs through the region from Wellington to Hawkes Bay and Palmerston North. The commuter train provides access to Wellington and enviably, there are two airports connecting Wairarapa with the world out of Wellington and Palmerston North.

A big part of what makes the Wairarapa community such a great place to live is the range of community services available to residents of the area. A hospital, social services, arts & culture, sports, recreation and youth development provide the necessities of modern living and access to life enriching opportunities.

The three Wairarapa Councils have all the information about what Community Services are available throughout the region.
