Heading to Martinborough? Famous for its 20-odd vineyards and home to some of NZ’s best pinot noir and other delicious drops.

Parehua Resort - 5 star accommodation in the middle of Martinborough’s vineyards. Not only do you have your choice of wines, you have a range of secluded cottages, villas and lakeside cottages to choose from. All contemporarily designed and an easy 10min walk to the Martinborough Square. In the evening the York Bistro is the place for drinks, followed by dinner.

The Martinborough Hotel, a beautiful old girl full of charm and quirks right on the doorstep of the Martinborough Square. Built in 1882, the hotel has been restored to its former glory while still keeping its stunning heritage look. The onsite restaurant Union Square led by Michelin starred chef Adam Newell features a modern NZ cuisine with a French influence. A spot we recommend finishing the day at is their gin bar!

Brackenridge Country Retreat & Spa, have a countryside trip while still only a 5min drive from Martinborough. There’s an indoor pool, gym and day spa for all your treatments. With studios, 2 and 4 bedroom cottages come with your significant other all with a group plus don’t leave your furry friend at home, they can come too! Brackenridge is pet friendly.

Wharekauhau Country Estate where the likes of Prince William and Kate holiday... why not?! Have a spot of luxury overlooking spectacular Palliser Bay while you’re in your self-contained cottage. Outstanding cuisine, guided tours, day spa treatments.. we could definitely stay here a while. 

Moving up the valley to Copthorne Solway Park in Masterton with a restaurant, bar, gym, indoor and outdoor pool, tennis and squash courts… you can settle in with everything at arm’s reach or let the kids run free.
