Lot Eight’s biggest pleasures in life are epicurean adventures and the opportunity to showcase the Wairarapa. Real foodies at heart, they will happily roll up their sleeves every day to produce and craft the best wholesome products they can - to the delight of chefs and retail buyers in NZ and overseas.
Their extra virgin olive oils include The Oil Makers Blend and the Reserve. Their range of cold pressed fragrant olive oils includes Citrus (olives pressed with finest fresh NZ citrus), Harissa (olives pressed with whole harissa spices) and Aromatic (olives pressed with vanilla pods and Lot Eight estate grown saffron). To complete the lineup, they also produce marinated olives and dukkah in their commercial kitchen, which doubles up as their tasting room.
‘A day at Lot Eight’ is a food demonstration and experience available to groups of 6-8 people. The grove is ideal in summer and autumn when visitors can take advantage of the warm weather and finish sitting around the wood fired pizza oven. Taste all the dishes created during the demonstration plus a generous glass of wine to round off the demonstration. Printed recipes are provided to help participants recreate the dishes at their own leisure. This experience is available from August to mid April and when the commercial kitchen is not in use for creating Lot Eight's provisions.
