What’s On:

Pūkaha Junior Rangers - Experience hands-on learning in Pūkaha's nature reserve - prepare food for the birds, feed the eels, learn about the forest and how Pūkaha protects and restores unique flora and fauna. Each day from 26 Sept to 11 Oct at 11am-3pm. Learn more and get your tickets here.

Breadcraft Wairarapa Schools Art Exhibition - See the best school art in the region with hundreds of entries submitted. From 26 Sept at Aratoi Wairarapa Museum of Art and History.

Grow our Garden Exhibition - Transform Aratoi into a spring garden by adding flowers and insects you've created to the 'Grow our Garden' exhibition wall using different materials and techniques. Free entry on 26 Sept to 11 Oct from 10am-4pm.

ART BUZZ Workshops - These 90 minute sessions each have a different focus and offer creative inspiration to kick start your art. From 29 Sept-1 Oct twice daily at 10.30am and 12.30pm. Bookings essential and spaces limited. Check their Facebook page closer to the date for a sneak peek at what they'll be making each day.

Cobblestones Museum Greytown - Saturday 3 Oct. Family Fun Farm Day. History comes alive: see the baby animals and how the early settlers celebrated spring.
Free entry (koha appreciated). Get up close to farm animals inluding lambs, chickens and more. Old fashioned crafts. Fire engine rides. Devonshire teas and BBQ sausages
Gates open 10am activities from 11am until 3pm.

Celebrate Space week - Sunday 4 Oct. Hear a short talk from Haritina Mogoșanu of the New Zealand Astrobiology Network, followed by a showing of Apollo 13. Hosted by Carterton District Library, Under the Stars, NZ Astrobiology Network and Carterton Events Centre. This event is free but you must register with Eventfinda 2pm – 5.30pm.

Star Safari at Stonehenge Aotearoa - See the wonders hidden inside the amazing night sky through giant telescopes. Every Fri & Sat night from 7.30pm-10.30pm.

Kids Printmaking Workshop - Three days of Printmaking with local artists Linda Tilyard, Nick Brandon and Jo Lysaght at Aratoi Wairarapa Museum of Art and History. From 6-8 Oct at 10am-3pm for children 8-13 years. Places limited & bookings essential.

Astrophotography Course Stonehenge Aotearoa - How to get started photographing the Moon, planets and deep sky objects like galaxies and star clusters and wide field landscape photography. A great activity to do with kids! Sat 10 Oct from 2pm-6pm (weather permittting).
