Ata Rangi

beautiful reds at Ata Rangi

Book an intimate experience based in Ata Rangi's original winery, exploring the history of the business, the local industry, the climate and soils (terroir) that create distinctiveness in the wines of the region and specifically at Ata Rangi.

You'll learn about the Ata Rangi philosphy and operation in viticulture and winemaking,  particularly the organic practices and approach. Seasonally, there will be opportunities to experience particular aspects of the business. Each session will include a tutored tasting of a range of Ata Rangi's current release wines and an opportunity to purchase, either to take with you or, country dependent, arrange shipping to your home.

Clive Paton planted his first vines in a stony sheep paddock in 1980, when winemaking was unheard of in Martinborough.

Ata Rangi is now well known here and overseas for its superb pinot noir, well established in 25 international markets.

Opening hours vary so please check our up to date list here.
