Lavender Magic is a Lavender and Cut Flower Farm situated in the hills at Mt Holdsworth, between Carterton and Masterton, where the Tararua Ranges provide an amazing backdrop. Check out their event ideas below.
They are Wairarapa's largest and longest-running commercial lavender farm, specialising in English Lavender as well as growing a range of cut flowers like lillies, sunflowers, zinnias and over 600 dahlias.
Shop for their essential oil, twice awarded NZ top Angustifolia, and natural skincare products at the Lavender Magic shop, take a garden tour (appointment only) and keep an eye out for pick your own cut flowers and lavender opportunities (depending on the growing season, may be limited).

Wednesday Wander - grab a friend, a coffee, maybe a picnic or lunch, wander around the rows of flowers at Lavender Magic, and visit the Lavender Magic shop for hand crafted lavender products.
Friday Flowers - join Lavender Magic on a Friday afternoon as they prepare bouquets for the Wairarapa Farmers' Market. Grab a pizza from The Water Mill Bakery (also on Blakes Rd and open for Friday night pizzas from 5pm until 8pm), and eat it in the flower garden. Enjoy this time of the evening with beautiful natural light great for photographs, shop for lavender products, and purchase a bouquet of flowers.
Sunday Relax and Recover - take time to yourself and relax before you head home from your busy Wairarapa weekend. Stroll among the flowers or take a seat at one of the picnic tables in the field, and enjoy the heady scent and vibrant colours.
