Reid+Reid, a craft distillery in Martinborough was founded in 2015 by brothers Stew and Chris Reid.
With their backgrounds in engineering and beverage production, Stew and Chris set up Reid+Reid to challenge the perception of a "classic" gin and promote New Zealand's unique natural flora.
After a two year mission foraging the landscapes of NZ for aromatic native plants that best compliment a classic dry gin, the brothers settled on Kawakawa, Manuka and Horopito making their quintessential New Zealand gin - Reid+Reid Native Gin.
Tours of their new distillery, tasting room and vineyard including a behind the scenes tasting and explanation on how they make their spirits are available when the brothers aren't in the middle of production, on Satudays from 1pm-4pm. Learn more here.
