Welcome to The Ritz.
Stay at The Ritz and you'll also be staying on part of the 10,500 acres that make up Riversdale Station in Martinborough- a working cattle station where you can walk, bike or horse trek while staying in their comfortable converted shearing shed.
Riversdale Station is a working cattle station, but farming is only a part of station life. They have a very popular hunting lodge, have been horse trekking for many years, and during the early summer have up to 2000 hives harvesting manuka honey.
The Ritz makes a perfect stay for anyone wanting to horse trek. Heavenly Horse Treks on Riversdale Station offer guided treks over farm tracks and across hills with stunning views. Horses are arranged according to suitability, ability of the rider and weather dependent. Learn more here or see their special Ritz and Ride package below.
You could also take a walk to the top of Wether Ridge on the Station. It's good exercise and you'll be rewarded with stunning 360 degree views of ocean, mountains, hills, bush and rivers.
Alternatively or as well, you could mountain bike around some of the station tracks or down to the beach and beyond to Cape Palliser Light House and back.
The Ritz is easy to get to, beside the White Rock Road - a quiet no-through-road to the White Rock beach. The Ritz could be a stop over for the Martinborough, Cape Palliser, Lake Ferry and back to Martinborough cycle circuit.
Georgie and Ben Lutyens look forward to welcoming you at The Ritz.
