The Golden Shears is great family viewing with plenty of atmosphere, action, and excitement as up to 500 competitors, national & international, converge on Masterton for novice, junior, intermediate, senior and open shearing competitions along with junior, senior and open woolhandling events and singles, pairs and women’s wool pressing competitions, as well as the coveted triathlon award.
