The much-loved Wairarapa Balloon Festival returns to our skies over Easter for five days, with take-offs from different Wairarapa towns each morning, and the newly named and revamped “Family Carnival” event at the Solway Showgrounds.

The carnival brings five hours of action-packed entertainment, with live music, a bouncy castle, cold-balloon walk-throughs, a face painting zone, animal balloon artists, and an Easter Egg Hunt for the kids. There will also be Food Truck Heaven, or people can bring their own picnic. Once it gets dark, the balloons will be inflated, glowing like gigantic light bulbs, tethered to the ground, and set to music.
