Hamden Estate, planted by the owners and their daughters is located on the Dry River Terraces in Martinborough where the free draining soils produce premium wine with intense flavours.
About
Hamden Estate is all about family and their wine bottle label graphic of three cut out paper doll figures represents the owners three daughters who were involved in helping with the hard, physical labour of establishing the vineyard. The first vines at Hamden Estate were planted in 2001 and dry grown, without irrigation, to become deep rooted and produce strong varietal flavours of Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Pinot Gris and Riesling as well as four clones of Pinot Noir.
