One of New Zealand’s Great Rides, this 115km trail is rich in history with diverse terrain rideable by most people.
The trail can be accessed in many places so you can tailor your ride to suit your needs and fitness levels, choosing to ride parts of the trail in one day or ride the whole trail over several days.
Ride through a river valley, rolling foothills, bush-clad ranges, old railway tunnels, lakesides, farmland or rugged coastline - take your pick!

Location
To get to the start of the Remutaka Rail Trail from Featherston, turn onto Moore St, continue into Western Lake Rd, and turn right onto Cross Creek Road.
