Stonehenge Aotearoa is not a replica of Stonehenge in England. It is a complete and working structure designed for its precise location in New Zealand. Situated in the Wairarapa countryside, Stonehenge Aotearoa is a window into the past where the visitor can rediscover the knowledge of their ancestors. It incorporates ancient Egyptian, Babylonian & Indus Valley astronomy, Polynesian navigation, & Celtic and Māori Starlore modern astronomy. Please check our website for the current opening hours. Self-guided treks are available during opening hours. Allow 90 minutes for a Guided tour of the henge during the day or sunset. At night time Star Trek Laser Tour is available. These guided tours must be booked in advance.
