Celebrate a week of science, imagination and discovery with seven days of rockets, astronomy, planetarium adventures, talks, workshops and stargazing planned for Carterton Space Week 2026.

This year’s theme Rocket Revolution, explores new launch technology, reusable rockets, commercial spaceflight, satellites and an increasingly active global space sector.

Children and families will be able to build and launch rockets, travel from Earth into space inside the Mars Blueberry digital planetarium, meet telescopes and astrophotographers and much more. Check out the full programme of events:
