Film Talks
Film Talks delivers a year-round programme of curator-led, in-person film events across Wairarapa. From curated screenings to Halloween dress-up nights, panel discussions, and heritage walks, their film experiences inspire conversation and connection.
About
Film Talks brings film lovers and filmmakers together through immersive cinema and gallery experiences, while the Film Talks On Air podcast extends those conversations via intimate, insightful audio storytelling. Film Talks was founded by Jane Ross in 2017.
Film Talks Presents
- Feature films, documentaries, classics, and experimental works—each accompanied by Q&As, panels, workshops, or masterclasses.
- Events that explore cultural identity, storytelling craft, and creative process with cinematic works from Aotearoa and beyond.
- Strategic partnerships with cinemas, galleries, schools, universities, festivals, and arts organisations (e.g., Arrow FM, Regent 3 Cinemas, Goethe‑Institut NZ, Italian Film Festival) to make film accessible, relevant, and engaging.
