Stay safe in the water. Swimmers can be caught off guard by rips at Riversdale, so make sure you swim between the lifeguard flags.

Don't forget to stop at Rewanui Forest Park on your way to Riversdale (it's just before the Riversdale turn-off). It's a series of loop walks through a 334 hectare farm, taking in native bush and pine forest.
