The Greytown Hotel is a rarity in New Zealand built in 1860; it has never been moved, has never burned down and has never changed its name! Making it the oldest surviving hotel in the Wairarapa affectionately known by locals as The Top Pub.

Just a stroll from the heart of Greytown Village, you’ll find a perfect mix of the warmest hospitality and friendly reception of Tony and Ursula Murphy at The Greytown Hotel. The historic building, offers comfortable old-school accommodation, 6 rooms sharing two bathrooms and three toilets, one would be forgiven for thinking you had walked back in time, this hotel has been operating since 1860 and still retains all its character and charm. This historic hotel is also home to The Top Pub, and 1860 Restaurant.
