The National Tweed Ride, Greytown

The annual National Tweed Ride on Saturday 8 April 2023 (Easter Saturday) will see participants digging into their wardrobe for the finest tweed attire, and cycling around beautiful Greytown region for a "jolly good" time with kindred spirits.

It's a fun day out with theatrics, costumes, games, prizes and it all just happens to be on bicycles - either vintage, manual or electric!

The new and leisurely route takes in many of Greytown's beautiful tree-lined streets and surrounding pretty countryside, including part of the popular Woodside Trail.

The ride comes complete with mid-ride treats, and finishes with a special Garden Party post-ride knees-up featuring 'Sergeant Bertie's Lonely Jazz Club Jazz Band', scrumptious food, a tweedy quiz and a Hendrick's Gin & Tonic!

Prizes will be awarded for the best tweedy outfits and other creative categories, with professional photographic portraits on offer too.

Locals wishing to see the riders off at the start should gather at the public carpark on West Street behind the Workingman's Club at 1pm.
