The National Tweed Ride, Greytown

The Tweed Ride, Greytown

The Tweed Ride in Greytown over Easter sees riders resplendent in retro style British cycling attire and tweed cycle around the beautiful region. It's a chance for town's folk and visitors to recreate the spirit of a bygone era while having a "jolly good" time.

The 'Tweed Ride' has its origins in the UK and is mimicked all around the world with South Wairarapa now getting in on the act to stamp its name on the National Tweed Ride.

Greytown being tailor-made for such an event with its early colonial buildings a perfect backdrop to the tweed era, along with some wonderful cycling spaces too.
