Town meets country at this popular annual Festival held on the banks of the Ruamahanga River in Masterton each year in March.
At Harvest, vineyards pair up with regional restaurants and produce outstanding local festival dishes. You can sample wines from not only the larger, better known wineries but also from some of the smaller boutique wineries in the region. You'll even get the opportunity to meet the wine makers from the vineyards involved. Festival goers can relax under the old trees listening to live music.
The festival is held at a beautiful, sheltered riverside setting locally known as ‘The Cliffs' on the banks of the Ruamahunga River at the end of Dakins Road in rural Wairarapa, just 10 minutes drive from both Masterton and Carterton. Festival goers can come via train from Wellington and take a shuttle buses to get to the festival - it's all part of a great day out.
