With a new tasting room, offering a unique experience in Martinborough, Escarpment have opened the doors to their brand new winery on Te Muna Road.
Escarpment, defined as a long, steep slope that lies at the end of a plateau, is unique within Martinborough. Big open skies stretch across the Wairarapa, 'glistening waters' in te reo Māori, and the ancient alluvial soils run deep beneath the land. There is natural balance here.
At Escarpment Winery, their purpose is to translate that balance into wines that reflect these special attributes. There is nothing like tasting wine while standing on the land where the wine comes from.
