The White Swan is a Greytown institution - a lovingly restored hotel and restaurant with a passion for local produce.
Chef Dale Keith's focus is on country cuisine with an inventive twist, from pork belly to venison burgers, and Wairarapa stonefruit trifle to delicious salads (try the freekeh with golden sultanas for starters).
The building itself is an elegant landmark, right in the heart of Greytown. But it wasn't always so. This grand old lady was once a down-at-heel railways building on the Wellington side of the Rimutaka Hill. In 2002 she was taken to pieces and trucked to her new home. These days, the White Swan's sunny veranda is the perfect place to watch the world go by. Come and see why it's a favourite with locals and visitors.
